This Privacy Policy explains how Gymro ("Gymro", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Gymro mobile application.
Information We Collect
Gymro collects the information needed to provide workout tracking, planning, and coaching features.
Account information
When you create or use an account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Display name
- Authentication/session information needed to keep you signed in
Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored in plain text by Gymro.
Profile and fitness information
You may provide profile and fitness information such as:
- Preferred weight unit
- Body weight, height, and waist measurements
- Training goal
- Experience level
- Planned training days per week
Workout and routine information
Gymro stores information you enter while planning and tracking workouts, including:
- Exercises and routines
- Workout dates and workout history
- Sets, reps, weight, duration, distance, and rest timing
- Active workout state, including timers and completion status
Notifications and device features
Gymro may ask for notification permission so active workouts and rest timers can remain visible in the notification shade or on the lock screen. Notification content may include workout, exercise, set, and timer information.
Gymro may also use vibration and haptic feedback for timers, alerts, and drag interactions. Gymro does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files.
AI coaching information
When you use AI-powered features such as suggested weight/reps or weekly coach reviews, relevant workout, exercise, routine, and profile information may be processed to generate suggestions. AI outputs are intended for general fitness guidance and are not medical advice.
Purchase information
If Gymro offers paid features or subscriptions, purchases are processed by Google Play or the relevant app store. Gymro may receive purchase status, product ID, subscription status, expiry date, and entitlement information. Gymro does not collect or store full payment card numbers.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Save your workouts, routines, and training history
- Show workout plans, timers, progress, and history
- Generate AI suggestions and coach reviews
- Keep active workouts visible through notifications when enabled
- Provide paid feature access if subscriptions are enabled
- Maintain app reliability, security, and support
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share or process information with service providers that help operate Gymro, including:
- Backend, database, authentication, and storage providers
- AI service providers used to generate coaching suggestions
- App store billing providers when paid features are enabled
These providers process information only as needed to provide Gymro's features and services.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect user safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to enforce our rights.
Data Storage and Security
Gymro stores app data locally on your device and in secure cloud services. Authentication tokens are stored using secure device storage where available.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Gymro's features. We may retain some information for legal, security, backup, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your Choices
You can:
- Edit profile information in the app
- Add, update, or delete workouts, sets, routines, and exercises
- Disable notifications in your device settings
- Request deletion of your account or personal data

Children's Privacy
Gymro is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
International Data Processing
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence. Data protection laws may differ in those locations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify users in the app or through the app store listing.
